Industry finance director recognised for career success in scaling accounting, tax, internal controls and compliance functions as well as overseeing mergers and acquisitions

Adactin, an Australian technology services provider with deep expertise in cloud, AI, and software engineering services, has announced the appointment of Avinash Peter as Chief Financial Officer.

Based in Sydney, Peter will be responsible for further developing a best-in-class finance function to support Adactin’s ongoing company growth throughout the Asia Pacific region with a focus on operational excellence and internal controls.

Peter is recognised for his expertise in scaling technology businesses, leading complex transformations, and steering private-equity transactions and acquisitions. His career reflects a deep passion for building high-performing teams, driving commercial outcomes, and helping businesses grow with discipline and purpose.

Peter joins Adactin following more than 16 years at global IT multinational company, Civica, where he held several critical positions driving financial and operational transformation. Starting in core accounting functions, he steadily rose through the ranks to lead Financial Control across APAC and later to serve as Finance Director for Civica’s Education, Libraries and Singapore divisions.

Most recently, he was Finance Director for Civica ANZ and Civica Singapore, a position he held for more than six years. During this time, he led new system implementations, developed pricing and business transformation strategies, established partnerships with global consulting companies for tax and auditing, and facilitated three private equity sales.

Peter commenced his finance career as an Assistant Accountant at News Magazines. He holds a Master of Accounting degree from Macquarie University and is a Certified Practising Accountant.
