BlackLine Launches Data Centre in Sydney to Serve Customers Across APAC

Company’s first APAC regional data centre to enhance customer compliance with local data sovereignty requirements while providing industry-leading performance and security

BlackLine, Inc. (Nasdaq: BL) announced today that it has opened its first Asia-Pacific (APAC) regional data centre within a Google Cloud facility in Sydney. The investment will support customers with their data sovereignty requirements and advance their capacity to scale their finance and accounting (F&A) operations while providing the highest levels of performance, security, and resilience.

The new site in Australia has been added as part of BlackLine’s ongoing investment a complements existing BlackLine data centre infrastructure in the United States and Europe, expanding the company’s global coverage to better serve its growing customer base. Disaster recovery for regional customers will be provided through Google Cloud’s data centre infrastructure in Singapore.

BlackLine’s new data centre will provide increased capacity to address rising demand from both private and public sector organisations for the company’s continuous rollout of new solutions and services to enhance its market-leading cloud platform. The new data centre will connect IT users with business applications over the shortest path, providing a fast, secure user experience. The investment also further enables APAC companies that are sensitive to data sovereignty to maintain their data within the region, accelerating regional and global data initiatives by satisfying country-specific data needs.
