OpSys Australia, a leading managed IT and secure by design cyber security provider, has announced the appointment of Shanna Daly as the company’s inaugural Chief Information Security Officer.
Based in Sydney, Daly will lead and manage the company’s cyber operations team and services, supporting the delivery of the highest level of security, according to industry frameworks, across all systems and data for both OpSys and its customers.
In addition, Daly is also tasked with developing additional cybersecurity service capabilities across managed services and consulting teams and her role will involve collaborating with the business to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, manage internal security and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
Matthew Fabri, Managing Director, OpSys Australia, said, “2025 will be the year where service providers will increasingly be called upon to support customer cyber security resilience as a critical foundation to support digital business innovation. Shanna Daly is an industry visionary who has been working closely with customers in understanding their needs and transforming their cyber security posture for many years. We are very pleased to have her join the team as she will bring tremendous value to our customers and support our ongoing regional growth.”
Daly joins OpSys Australia with more than 20 years of IT industry experience during which time she has held senior consulting, systems engineering, forensics, incident response and client service roles, including most recently at Cosive where she was Principal Consultant.
Prior, Daly was Director of Digital Forensics and Incident Response at ParaFlare where she built the company’s consulting team and supported customers with detailed investigations into data breaches, ransomware and insider threats.
Daly also worked for Mandiant in several roles over a five-year period including as ANZ Consulting Manager, Systems Engineer and Senior Consultant for Incident Response. Earlier on in her career, Daly worked in consulting and analyst roles for RSA and Verizon Enterprise Solutions and as a Technical Support Representative with Fujitsu.
