Wednesday, April 02, 2025

Prvidr, a leading Customer Lifecycle Management Platform for the subscription economy, today announced that it has opened an office in Townsville to serve an expanding customer base both in Queensland and across Australia. At the same time, the new office will enable Prvidr to support technology skills development within the Far North Queensland region.

The Prvidr Go all-on-one, subscription management platform enables companies, such as financial services, telcos, retailers and utilities to enter the subscription market by selling adjacent products and services alongside their core offerings. Banks are getting into the telecoms business, for example, and supermarkets are now selling holidays. The platform comprises powerful CRM and billing modules purpose-built for managing subscriptions.

“We decided to open a regional office in Townsville in order to broaden our recruiting pool for our customer service and technology teams,” says David Joss, CEO, Prvidr. “Putting down roots and joining a regional community creates a different sort of connection for our teams, something that’s much harder to create in a central business district. Much of our leaderships team lives regionally and have experience in working in local communities and understand the benefit to the community of establishing opportunities in technology industries.”

Prior to selecting Townsville, Prvidr reviewed several regional centres and finally decided to select the Far North Queensland city based on its growing population and an existing highly skilled technology workforce based on the region’s heritage in defence, marine science and higher education sectors.

Prvidr intends to have an initial base of 12 employees in Townsville who will primarily manage the company’s national customer service centre. They will also be supported by a technology service team incorporating software engineering and technical support. Additional employees will be recruited as the business expands in the years ahead.

“Locally in Townsville we are building an in-office experience for our team,” says Joss. We’ve invested to create an inviting and welcoming space for the team that encourages collaboration and reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering innovation for customers. It’s a space that we think employees and customers will love and we look forward to building stronger, valuable relationships within the region.”

A July 2023 report from The Tech Council of Australia confirmed that over 140,000 people work in the Queensland technology sector and predicted that this figure will grow to more than 185,000 by 2030. The state currently represents 15% of the national tech workforce.

The Prvidr office in Townsville is located in the suburb of Garbutt at Suite 2b, 3 Ramsay Street, Garbutt.
